All of this is possible where you work
(Re?)introducing Third Nature At Work + lots of firsts.
Over the last 10 years, we at Third Nature have gotten really good at designing & facilitating workshops & retreats that empower people to be more engaged and fulfilled in all aspects of their lives.
We do this by creating shared experiences that enable individuals to:
Show up as their true and best selves.
Embody their unique story, strengths, and values, in a way that enables them to consciously contribute in a way that only they can.
Feel more connected to their inner wisdom, the people around them, the communities they're a part of, and the world at large.
Not take themselves too seriously and have more fun.
Call me crazy - but I think…
All of that is possible where you work.
A lot has changed over the last decade, especially in the ways we engage with work. These changes have left many people feeling disconnected - from the people they work with, the organizations they’re a part of, and their own zone of genius.
For organizations that aren’t able to adapt, it will become harder to attract, motivate, engage, and retain their people.
At Third Nature, our team of expert experience designers and facilitators create interactive workshops, trainings, and retreats that empower individuals to feel more connected, in all the ways. This leads to people feeling more engaged and fulfilled in their day-to-day + everyone becoming more active participants in the growth and betterment of the organization.
We've been helping organizations with this since the beginning.
Over the last 10 years, we’ve designed and facilitated programs for:
Innovative companies like Duolingo, UBS, MANTL, and AbleTo.
Impactful non-profits like Experience Camps, New York Cares, The Diamond Challenge, Philly Startup Leaders, and Venture For America.
Prestigious institutions of higher education like the University of Delaware, Kenyon College, MIT, Yale, the University of Michigan, Penn State, Drexel, Northeastern, Babson, and many more.
Now, we've taken all we've learned and streamlined our offer for organizations into three team development workshops:
Cultivating A Culture Of Co-Creation
Summer Camp At Work
And of course…Being Third Nature
If you’ve experienced the magic of Third Nature, and want to explore the possibilities in bringing it to your team or company, let’s chat.
If that ^ is you or your organization, I’d love to tell you about our…
Unlocking Leadership Training
This is for organizations looking to catalyze more sustainably transformative shifts for their people and culture.
We do this by helping teams learn and integrate the 4 pillars of Third Nature Leadership. Those pillars are:
Unlocking Collective Wisdom
Safety & Structure
Mindfulness
Authentic Self Expression
My friend and longtime co-creator,
, and I first designed this program about 4 years ago. We’ve since facilitated it in the form of 3 cohort-based courses + more recently for some world-class institutions. If you’re curious to learn more about each of these pillars, Jake and I will be going live right here on Substack (first time trying Substack Live!) on Tuesday, July 22nd at 12pm ET.
Put it on your calendar, listen to me and Jake jam, and drink (water please) every time one of us says “guide on the side” (IYKYK)
If you’d like to learn more about any of the above, check out the updated Third Nature At Work page below.
Still a work in progress and open to all feedback 🤓

Loved That
Here’s where I enjoy sharing some of the things that made me say (out loud or in my head), an enthusiastic, LOVE THAT, since I sent the last newsletter.
But there's another reason I do this: I believe "LOVED THAT" is a habit worth spreading. Taking the time to reflect on your week, savoring all the things you loved, is another form of gratitude practice that enhances happiness, fulfillment, optimism, and memory.
Do try this at home!
Anyway, here's mine from these last two weeks:
1. Baby Drew’s first road trips / first time leaving Park Slope!
First, we drove out to my mom’s house to spend 4th of July weekend on Long Island - a 2-hour drive, with our car filled to the brim. Because 5 days later, we’d load the car back up for the 5-hour drive to Alexis’ parents place in Gloucester, Massachusetts, where we’ll be for at least the next 5 weeks.
High five! We made it. Highlights included not getting pulled over, listening to 2 thought provoking podcast episodes (1 with our parenting guru Dr. Becky on the Tim Ferriss Show + How to Find More Time with Jay Clouse), and dancing to a techno version of Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes that happened to be playing in the family bathroom of the Milford, CT rest stop.
2. Our first Nigerian wedding / first night out without Drew!
My childhood friend, Ugo, got married on July 3rd, which brought all the boys (+WAGS) back together for a really fun night. Cocktail hour, especially the Caribbean station equipped with Jamaican beef patties, spicy fish cakes, plantains, and jerk chicken was awesome. As was getting lots of quality time with some of my oldest and best friends.
3. Speaking of quality time, the party continued on July 4th at my friend Anton’s house in Huntington.
I especially loved starting the day with a little standup paddle-boarding in Northport Bay, my mom getting Baby Drew to the party after we regretted not bringing him ourselves, my sister Dani getting to join for the festivities, and the deliciously marinaded steak + lobster tails off the grill 😋
Even with kids in the picture, I love that we still remember how to party…though I will say, on this particular occasion, I found it harder to close out a beer pong game when facing the pressure of Baby Drew’s approaching bedtime.
4. An adventurous day out in Gloucester.
This past Saturday, Alexis, Drew, and I drove into town without a plan. So when we saw a pink sign for a “Funky Art Sale,” we decided to follow the arrows to a cozy little home with a family outside selling handcrafted oil paintings, sculptures, and jewelry. We made friends, changed their perception of people from New York City, and bought a print titled “Road to Manifestation.”
After working up an appetite while looking for parking near the street fair in town, we abandoned that plan and headed to Causeway, the roadside seafood shack with jumbo portions of fried belly clams (pictured alongside a lobster roll, great french fries, and of course, Baby Drew, below).
5. Becoming a runner?
After I tore my ACL, MCL, and meniscus playing basketball my sophomore year of college (and then had 2 more knee surgeries in the years that followed), I resigned to the likelihood that I’d never be a runner. But I think 10 years of a daily yoga practice effectively healed my legs. Because after doing a couple 5k’s with the Dead Dad Run Club, I thought wait - I can do this. And I’m kinda digging this runner’s high people have been yapping about.
So here in Gloucester, where I have no gym membership, I’ve committed to running a 5k every other day. So far so good! The ocean views help.
